Electronic anaesthesia

The practice is equipped with a modern computerised anaesthesia system, the Wand STA System, which allows for injections to be performed with almost no pain. The principle of this tool is based on the fact that what causes pain during anaesthesia is excessive pressure, resulting in the distention of the mucous tissue. The Wand (like a magic wand) injects the anaesthetic drop by drop, greatly reducing pressure and pain.

Digital Radiographs

When X-rays are needed to complete the dental and orthodontic diagnosis, it is important to give the minimum necessary dose of X-rays. For this reason, the practice was immediately equipped with low-emission digital equipment with specific programmes for children, both for endoral radiographs and for panoramic radiography and teleradiography.

Diagnocam

The diagnocam is a non-invasive caries diagnosis system. It is a tool composed of a terminal that illuminates the tooth, therefore making caries appear as dark spots, with a camera that captures images and transmits them to a screen. This way, in many cases, you can make a diagnosis of tooth decay without using X- rays.

Ozone

The practice is equipped with HealOzone equipment, a particular tool that allows targeted treatment of caries with ozone. Ozone is one of the most effective natural disinfectants. Since caries is caused by bacteria, the application of this gas can significantly slow down, and in many cases stop, the progression of caries.

The treatment is very quick and totally painless, so it is ideal even for very young children. On superficial caries it can be used as the only treatment, and on deeper caries it allows you to buy time waiting for better cooperation from the child.

Nitrous oxide

The practice is equipped with equipment for conscious sedation with nitrous oxide, which is very useful in cases of anxiety, fear, and stress. This tool, through a mask placed on the nose, delivers a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide. The child stays awake, reacts to stimuli, and answers questions, but is much more relaxed and the treatments are carried out more calmly. At the end of the treatment, after removing the mask, the child returns to being perfectly normal and awake.

Oral scanner

Digital teeth scanning, compared to traditional dental impressions, allows for much more accurate models, and therefore appliances perfectly adhere to tooth surface. In addition, the discomfort for the patient is minimal and the risk of stimulating the gag reflex is also very reduced – which can sometimes make taking dental impressions challenging. Finally, the oral scan can also be sent to distant orthodontic laboratories in a few seconds, thus speeding up the process of creating dental appliances and allowing us to use the best laboratories

Progettazione digitale di terapie ortodontiche individualizzate

Digital Design of Individualised Orthodontic Therapies

Today, orthodontic therapies can be tailor-made for the individual patient. This allows the orthodontist to digitally design, based on the diagnosis, the devices with the most suitable characteristics for that patient, respecting both the biological limits of the dental arches and allowing and reducing treatment times. The design needs more time to be developed before orthodontic care can commence, but this ultimately reduces the number of appointments needed for the patient during therapy.
