First visit

Oral Park is the ideal place to take care of your child’s smile. During your first visit, we will be happy to meet you and answer all your questions.

Before the visit

We like to spend the right amount of time with your child during the first visit: we schedule the first appointment in the late morning or in the late afternoon when the flow of people coming in for check-ups has already subsided. Before the visit, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will provide us with information about both the general and oral health of your child. During the visit, we will then go into more depth.

During the visit

During the first meeting, we will analyse the child’s eating, oral and hygiene habits. The child will be examined and any procedure will be postponed to a later session. It is important that the first encounter is a time without fear and is taken step by step.

Durante la visita

After the visit

After the visit, any additional assessments necessary for the diagnosis and the therapy plan will be scheduled, which will be carried out at a later stage. If the child does not need any treatment at the time of the visit, a periodic check-up appointment will be scheduled after a few months, which will be renewed from time to time, in order to monitor everything during the child’s growth.

    Frequently asked questions

What to do in case of trauma?

In case of trauma, we suggest that you contact the practice as soon as possible. Oral Park is equipped with an emergency telephone number to call in case of trauma when the practice is closed.

Here you will find useful information and a list of steps to follow while waiting for the visit.

When is it time to schedule your first visit?
It is recommended that you make the first visit to us when the first teeth arrive – this is the moment in which all prevention measures can be implemented to reduce the risk of caries and the appearance or aggravation of a malocclusion.
    Braces: at what age?

In a growing child, you can probably find malocclusions involving the bone bases or only the teeth. When the treatment must involve the bone bases, we intervene early (during nursery and preschool). In other cases we can wait, but it is always advisable to have a first orthodontic visit at around the age of 3 to evaluate the type of malocclusion that needs to be corrected.
